Paul Needham

Head of Volunteering,
National Deaf Children’s Society

Paul joined the National Deaf Children’s Society in 2012 and is responsible for both operational and strategic management of volunteers across the UK. He developed the organisation’s first volunteering strategy and introduced a competence-based approach to volunteer management. Previously, Paul was involved with the Citizens Advice Service for over 15 years at a local, regional and national level.  With a continuing commitment to social justice, he started his career in housing advice and has volunteered with a range of organisations in different roles including as an advisor, trustee and fundraiser. Paul holds a degree in Philosophy, a post-graduate diploma in Housing Studies and a Professional Certificate in Management.
