Head of Volunteering,
Imperial Health Charity
Sam is the Head of Volunteering for Imperial Health Charity; the NHS charity which supports the five hospitals and wider community part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, a large acute hospital Trust within North West London. Imperial Health Charity has managed the hospital volunteering programme on behalf of the NHS Trust since June 2016. Over the last three and a half years Sam has led the transformation of the volunteering programme, increasing the number of volunteers contributing each year by 400%. Sam has worked within the not-for-profit sector in volunteer/community engagement roles for the last 12 years, with previous roles at Diabetes UK, Imperial College London, Dogs Trust and Teach First. Sam also volunteers with The Scouts in a national leadership role as the Deputy Chief Commissioner of England.
